A good tip here is when you have a drink in a bar, don’t drink beer it’s comparatively expensive, drink cocktails for real value for money.

The restaurants that are local you may want to try are The Lucky Horseshoe, Berts, Champers which is next door, and then go to ‘The Gap’ which is about a twenty minute walk or a £5 taxi ride, and it has The Ship, McBrides, and the Harlequin which are well worth trying. Overall you will enjoy the local food, and the standard nowadays is good.

To summarise the Coral Mist Beach Hotel in a few words is tricky, but it is good beachfront Barbados Accommodation for the price. The rooms are large, well equipped, clean, and comfortable. The situation lends itself to being in the local community as you will eat out a lot, so you will learn a lot more about Barbados and its people than if you were staying in a five star..
