The truth is that for a no frills holiday Yellow Bird Hotel is absolutely fine.

What is really important isn’t the flashy décor, the huge bathroom, the expensive fittings in the room, because lets face it you really just sleep there. At the Yellow Bird Hotel the rooms are spotless, cleaned every day, fresh towels and bed linen daily as well.

You have no reason to expect great food at a cheap family vacation hotel, but Yellow Bird Hotel really does very well here too. There is the Flying Fish restaurant and Bar serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The menu shows a variety of Barbados dishes, and English Food, which might give you a clue as to who the majority of the guests are. It won the Best Value for Money Restaurant in Barbados 2007. There is everything from the full English breakfast to the local catch brought in by fishermen. You can eat lunch and dinner al fresco next to the small but very nice pool. There is a happy hour with buy one get one free a popular item!!

In conclusion, if you are under no illusions about a cheap family vacation, and go expecting the worst but hoping for the best, you will be extremely happy with what you find at the Yellow Bird Hotel. It may be an Apartment Hotel offering a self catering holiday style, but it is very very good value for money. It goes to prove that a cheap family vacation can be a very good one too.
